ALZHEIMER

Description:
Cerebral deposition of amyloid beta peptide is an early and critical feature of Alzheimer's disease. Amyloid beta peptide is generated by proteolytic cleavage of amyloid precursor protein (APP) by two proteases, one of which is the protein encoded by BACE-1. The encoded protein, a member of the peptidase A1 protein family, is a type I integral membrane glycoprotein and aspartic protease that is found mainly in the Golgi. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms of BACE-1 have been described. Human BACE-1 protein extra-cellular domain (from 28 AA to 393 AAB ) was expressed from E.coli and highly purified with its native enzyme activity. Purity: > 95% by SDS-PAGE. Protein concentration in package is 1mg/ml.

PHENOMENES INFLAMMATOIRES

ANXA1 encodes a protein that belongs to a family of Ca(2+)-dependent phospholipid binding proteins which have a molecular weight of approximately 35,000 to 40,000 and are preferentially located on the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane. Annexin I protein has an apparent relative molecular mass of 40 kDa, with phospholipase A2 inhibitory activity. Since phospholipase A2 is required for the biosynthesis of the potent mediators of inflammation, prostaglandins and leukotrienes, annexin I may have potential anti-inflammatory activity.
