ImmunoComb® Quick Tests
What is ImmunoComb® ?
ImmunoComb® is a unique and patented technology that provides a test for detecting antibody levels in whole blood and serum. The ImmunoComb® veterinary diagnostic kits are designed to aid in the diagnosis of disease and the determination of immunity levels of companion animals, farm animals, poultry and laboratory rodents.
The ImmunoComb® is based on the solid-phase "dot"-ELISA principle providing quantitative, semi-quantitative and qualitative results. The solid phase is a comb-shaped plastic card, hence the trademark name - the ImmunoComb® . It provides a serological result, namely measuring of antibody levels in animals' blood or serum to specific disease agents.

Kit Development Process :
Two ways to read results:
Visually - directly by eye or by using the Comb Scale (calibrated color scale)
Mechanically - by using the CombScan (software).
Every diagnostic kit provides all the necessary components for testing a number of animals for the presence of antibodies to three possible agents. The number of antigens/agents tested depends on the type of kit (ranging from 1 to 3).
Why ImmunoComb® ?
The ImmunoComb® Antibody Test Kits are simple to use and can be performed in places with limited capabilities for laboratory testing. Since they are portable they can be used in the filed.
The ImmunoComb® Antibody Test Kits are cost-effective, as they allow testing of 3 diseases at once (depending on type of kit) and their prices are competitive with other products in the market. The shelf-live of each diagnostic kit is one year from the date of production.
The ImmunoComb® Antibody Test Kits have quick developing processes and are obtained within 20-60 minutes, depending on type of kit.
Results of the ImmunoComb® antibody test kits are reliable and accurate, providing quantitative results. These tests are sensitive and permit detection of low levels of antibody in a single serum dilution. Only small amount of blood/serum is required to perform these tests.
ImmunoComb® convenient smaller packaging makes it easier to use in smaller working places, conserve space shelf and make transporting to field-testing more convenient.

En Production :

A l’abattage :
- Les APP permettent de différencier les animaux sains des animaux malades.
- Les APP sont des marqueurs de maladies en cours, répondant particulièrement à des infections bactériennes.
- Les APP permettent d’identifier les animaux malades pour un examen post-mortem minucieux ou pour un screening à la ferme avant transport à l’abattoir. Les animaux potentiellement malades peuvent ensuite être exclus de la chaine alimentaire humaine.
- Le dosage des APP peut maintenant être automatisé avec une méthode simple et rapide pour faire du haut débit et des dosages rapides aussi bien à la ferme qu’à l’abattage.

COMMENT MESURER LE STRESS DES ANIMAUX DE LABORATOIRES, D’ELEVAGE OU D’AGREMENT ?

TRIDELTA ltd, nouvelle société Irlandaise a développé avec l'institut vétérinaire de Glasgow une série de kits novateurs, simples, rapides et précis mesurant le stress des animaux en dosant dans le sang le taux des protéines de phase aiguë : Amyloïde A sérique, protéine C-RéactiveP, Hapto-globine .
Les études les plus récentes effectuées par l’école vétérinaire de Glasgow, celle d’Utrecht et par la société Japonaise de Pathologie Clinique Vétérinaire montrent l'intérêt du suivi du taux de ces protéines dans le sang des animaux. Ce taux s'élève très rapidement et très fortement dès les premières apparitions d'inflammations et de stress et revient à la normale pendant le processus de guérison.
C'est pourquoi, ces kits présentent le plus grand intérêt :
1 - Chez les animaux de laboratoires pour le suivi des réactions aux essais de nouvelles molécules.
2 - Chez les animaux d’élevage pour la détection des états de stress . Par exemple, chez les vaches laitières, il a été récemment montré une très forte et précoce corrélation entre l'apparition des mammites et la teneur sérique en Amyloïde sérique (cf la communication de l’école vétérinaire de Glasgow, associée à l’université du Nebraska...)
TRIDELTA commercialise en outre des kits de détection des dermatophytes, de rhinite équine des IgG dans le sang total du veau.

Chloramphénicol, antibiotiques et sulfamides, Facteurs de croissance, Anthelmintiques et Hormones peuvent être décelés et mesurés dans le sang, l’urine, les tissus et le lait par les kits ELISA de EURODIAGNOSTICA. Ces tests, approuvés par les autorités Néerlandaises ont prouvé leur fiabilité et la constance de leurs résultats.

Marks & Spencer suppliers to use disease-detecting technology.
Today, Marks & Spencer announces a joint initiative with leading Irish diagnostic company Tridelta Development to introduce a revolutionary health monitoring system to help detect and treat sick animals earlier on farms.
The simple but effective system will mean that farms supplying Marks & Spencer will be able to initiate a screening programme for animals aimed at detecting a wide range of diseases such as foot and mouth, mastitis and pneumonia.
Acute Phase Proteins, which are part of the body’s natural immune defence system, rise rapidly in response to disease. The system developed by Tridelta, means that Acute Phase Proteins can be detected through a simple blood or milk test at an early stage - often within hours of an animal becoming infected and, in most cases, long before any visible signs of disease.
At present, the health ‘status’ of farm animals is assessed either by the farmer or the vet and, until now, has been seriously limited because examination largely depends on visually evident signs of illness. These limitations can mean that diseases can spread undetected, further increasing the risk to healthy animals.
Under normal healthy conditions, Acute Phase Proteins are undetectable. However, research has shown that if animals are exposed to a bacteria or virus or put in a stressful environment, such as poor living or transport conditions, the animal produces large amounts of these proteins as a natural defence mechanism.
The Acute Phase Protein tests developed by Tridelta will mean that Marks & Spencer will, for the first time, be able to closely and regularly monitor the general health of animals on supplier farms. A simple, regular test will allow a health profile of both individual animals and herds to be built up ensuring that suppliers to Marks & Spencer maintain superior standards of health and welfare.
Marks & Spencer’s agricultural specialist, Dr Chris Brown, comments: "This is a revolutionary approach that will provide our farms with a quantifiable method of evaluating the health of their animals and therefore being able to guarantee the quality of the product to our customers"
